Challenge
We were tasked with designing and developing a website from scratch on Hyvä theme, for selling premium cosmetics from US brands, and with a focus on a light color palette. Ensuring a user-friendly experience was of paramount importance to the client.
Solution
We have thoroughly studied best practices from similar websites in the same business domain. By combining these insights with the UX recommendations from Nielsen Norman Group, we have developed our usability strategy.
Process
Our primary focus was to create a website that's clean and visually pleasing. We aimed to evoke a sense of fresh air within the website's pages – something simple yet inspiring and eye-catching.
We also incorporated the prototype phase into our workflow with the client, enabling them to make adjustments to the usability strategy we proposed. With confidence in the clarity and attractiveness of the interface, we seamlessly proceeded to the next step.
Results
We earned our customer's appreciation by prioritizing high-quality photographs in the website's design, while keeping the page load speed under 1 second. Our designers managed to create a calming aesthetic via by muted pastel colors.
Thanks to Hyvä theme and some extra optimizations from our end, we achieved excellent GPSI metrics right from the start, thus assisting our client in attracting the expected organic traffic volume.
